i was reading that you guys are trashing sony. i've been installing stereos and subs and everything around it for about 13 years.it all depends what sony product and where the get it.i have the sony cdx-mp70 head unit and you can put that thing through hell and it will still make you happy and i have the sony five sided 12" sub rated at 1200w peek power in a 1.5 cube foot ported box running off a 500rms ma audio amp and monster cable 1frait cap. and i drop jaws. they kept asking thats just one 12? it is est. at 140 db's .but i'm going to get real #'s soon. i'll let you know. i was never a sony belever until i had one.

 

i can vouch for his system.... i sat in his car and he hit the sub and it went BOOM!!, it was awesome..

i have the 2000 xplod cdx-m750, only thing i dont like about it is that it doesn't play mp3's but thats not an issue for me any more, i installed a 10 disc changer couple of months ago.

i dont plan on getting a new HU any time soon, but i might take mine apart and panit the interior face (controls, i'm leaning towards black to keep w/ the theme of tib interiors, black face silver buttons) and clean the lens (ALA PS2 lens cleaning)
