i think what's cool about the RD2 is the round gear surround.

How about buying an RD2 gear surround for an RD1 dash. Well, that is if it fits. Anybody tried that?

will fit.. but the RD2 surround is "taller"

It will look funky and out of place...

okay, back from the dead ..
re reading this i am a little confused (i think i understood it last year when i first posted but now i can't)

basically, what is an "rd2 interior wiring harness" and what is the "crash pad"? is that like the whole upper dash, vinyl part that houses the defrost vents, glovebox, etc?

1. It's the wiring harness from the inside of a RD2. Duh.

2. Yes.

1. Gee, thanks, prolly couldn't have guessed that?? ... Maybe I should be more specific. What does it consist of? Where is it located?

2. So why would I need that whole vinyl part + airbag + glovebox, isn't it all the same between RDs???

thx
