Radar Detector Placement
i put mine below the rearview mirror also and it works great, the only problem now is that it BOUNCES up and down to the subs i just put in.. it is very annoyingggggg any advice on this!?! i know that thing is gonna lose suction and fly off one day.. even if it is mounted on the dash it will probably vibrate.. any ideas?!
theres not much u can do about that.... mounting to a dash or something would help, as you could put padding down and still have it stay where you want it. however with subs, things DO rattle, theres no way around it completely. unless u take out the subs....
Mine is mounted at the top of the windshield right under the driver's visor. I can still flip the visor down, and it hides it. I ran the power wire across the headliner (short distance) then down behind the pillar.

mine is just above the wheel, (although my wheel is on the proper side.) it detects radar fine, you just have to watch its not too low so the wipers are in the way.

shouldnt your ignition be on the left side then? sorry if that sounds stupid but im not used to seeing right side driven cars...

as far as I know - the higher you put radar detector - the better. It should detect better and on higher distance.
yes, he is exactly right. you are supposed to put it as high as you can and it should be in the center if possible for best detection. my experience with these detectors has never been good no matter where you put it or how much you spend...i think just using your eyes is better than anything. but anyway, higher and center is the best placement. wink1.gif
