Ok, I think I answered my own question. I found another manual specifically for the ipod adapter, and its telling me that I have to connect the power and negative wires.

Yes, I am teh bestest evrrrr:

Now I can bring Mark Wahlberg with me wherever I go! (I was watching Shooter, lol)

also there's a sneak peek of my new dash set-up, I repainted my dash gunmetal (again), and you can see my new momo shift knob, which will match my new momo steering wheel which I scored for $66 (It's a $250 wheel) smile.gif

Thanks DTN.

I'm still having problems with bypassing the parking brake though. I thought I had grounded it properly cause it allowed me to view movies with the car running while it was in the driveway. But this morning I started it up, the DVD was still running and when it came on the screen saying that I can watch movies while the car is in motion came up again. So maybe the ground is lose, or I didn't choose a good enough groundign spot. I used the bolt that holds the computer unit behind the cupholder in place.

Make sure that when you do get it running properly, that you put a hidden toggle switch in.....just in case you get pulled over. When you get stopped you can just flip the switch and they'll think you have it wired up legit

yeah, I was actually just reading something that said I have to put it on a switch. How do i do that? I only have 1 ground wire to go into the negative terminal on the switch, but won't it also have a positive terminal? What do I hook that up to? Will it work if I connect the green parking brake wire to the positive terminal, and then a wire to be grounded on the negative terminal?

Just put a switch inline of that ground wire. A switch doesnt need to have a positive, it will just either connect the two wires or not so youll be fine.

Ok, what do you mean inline? Like, the green parking wire goes in, then comes out and connects to the ground?

sweet. thanks.

Now I'm trying to figure out what Nav system can hook up to this.

so this is the Nav unit that I need. Im trying to figure out where to mount it. If I wanna mount it under the dvd player, I'll have to modify the radio surround. Not sure if I wanna do that though.

Also I found a Vehicle Dynamics proscessor that I can add on as well, but I dunno if its worth spending an extra $200 on.
