im running my 4000watt system on my clarion and i love it. i've had a few over the years and i allways go back for more. the sound clarity and power output is really what you go to clarion for. plus they are allways really easy to use, i know next HU i get will be a clarion again even if i have to spring for the new touchscreen ones they are just sooooo worth it and they last basically FOREVER.

DONT LET THE PIC FOOL YOU THAT CLARION HAS GRAPHICS ON IT!! thats just the screen that comes up any time you touch a button. and in the left that little icon moves too i have one on my clarion right now

* Digital Time Alignment Control with 3-Way Crossover (would be 30-60 extra for a decent one and as i read more about it you can use the time alignment to delay the sound in front speakers so it hits you the same time as the rears or vice versa. NOW THAT IS NASTY TECHNOLOGY)

* 3-Band Parametric Equalizer

* Built-in LPF/HPF (lpf/hpf are needed for real stereos)

* 53W x 4 Built-in MOS-FET Amplifier

* Motorized Sloping Control Panel

* 728-Variable Color Display and Illuminated Keys •Full Dot Display with Screensavers (changes a $HIT LOAD of colors)

* RCA Auxiliary Input with Level Control (ps3/xbox360/mp3 players)

* 6ch/6V RCA Output (good lord thats alot out pre-out power!!!)

i have a jensen 7" flip up in my tib right now, but if i had the choice i would definitely go with either the alpine ida-x001 or one of alpines touchscreens, same with speakers, however i do like the audiobahns very much

I had a clarion, absolutely LOVED that deck. Touch screen, video in, just loved it for every single thing it could do.

Then it got stolen.

If they ever have one in a decent price range, I'll pick up another.

speaking of touchface...

anyone remember when Technics used to have the only touch face din size player and everyone thought it was a fad?

there is STILL alot of people in IASCA that still use the Apline 7909 HU circa something like 1990, crazy.

audio prime rofl.gif thats a good one smile.gif

alpine makes great products but i just dont really get into their stuff. its just too common for my taste, but the quality of those alpine decks is crazy, the clarity and power are second to none.

but when clarion is a choice i will allways choose them. especially over pioneer who never made anything really good other then those dolphin decks of the early 2000's. and really all their other decks i've ever seen have been garbage. but those dolphins were nasty when they came out

for around 200 bucks i might scoop one of these after the holiday shit thats a deal for all the shit it does.
