Ground effects problem
This was my first install with lighting......
Everything is great, it looks amazing, i hooked it up to a switch, i made a custom piece to mount into where my ash tray use to be, and put the switch into there, i really like it. I used like 24 gauge wires though, form the battary to the switch then back into the system. i think this is where the problem is.
Only my back light doesnt light up, Thinking it was the bulb i replaced it, but the same thing happens, it lights up some times, only part way, if i run my hand along it, it would light up fully. This only happend when the car is off, but now it happens when the car is on. Is this becuase of the tiny wires used at the switch, i already replace the bulb, so it cant be that....

i had the same problem turns out it was a short in the wire in the tail light bullb assy. maybe you're having the same prob cause i have underlights too and tho unrelated idk... but try playing with the wire when someone is stepping on the brakes.
I thought it was the light too, so i replaced it, and still doing the same thing. I guess it has to be a short somewhere then, in the spring i am ripping all the wireing out and redoing it...

There are other things that can be causing a 'loose' or 'bad connection', which is what you have.IT"S NOT A SHORT!! If it were a short you'd keep blowing the fuse. And if you don't have a fuse, you'd burn the thing up and possibly burn up some things in your car.
