I wanna get just 2 subs + amp for now. I'll get the front/rear speakers by myself, but opinions are always welcome.

Ok, persay I chose audiobahn.
Could you give me an example setup of like,
2 10" subs, + amp? Like "Audiobahn ####, and Sony #### amp" or something..
thanks! laugh.gif: laugh.gif:
Also my budget is somewhat limited. Depends on how much it will cost. And Yeah, I think I got the whole ebay thing down smile.gif

I would at audiobahn and my personal favorite Memphis Audio. I have 2 audiobahn 12's in a sealed and ported box right now, but in the near future i am going to move to 2 memphis audio mojo15's probably in a custom enclosure. I know everyone says 15's are to big but i want it as loud as i can. That is my opinion

Also MadTib: 6.75" subs? How many watts? What Brand? How do they sound????

Yup, 6.75". JL Audio 6W0.They handle about 75Wrms, need a .15cuft sealed enclosure, and cost about $75 each.

I built aperiodic enclosures onto my door panels, and they sound fan-freak'n-tastic!! Once you listen to good strong bass that originates from in front of you, you'll never go back to trunk subs.As far as using these 6w0's in the trunk, I really can't say how they'd sound.Maybe pretty good, maybe not so good.

I was thinking about 500-700 watts.
I don't want to upgrade anything just to get a bigger system.
Ill check out the audiobahn site.

Definately go Audiobahn. I have Audiobahn 6x9s, 6.5 components, and subs/amp and I love the whole set up. It sounds great and its not as expensive as some other brands. And 10s are the perfect size in my opinion

I have 2 12" Sony Xplode Subs in a bandpass box, and 700 watt Crunch amp that will power them and a 2 Farad Capacitor that I am thinking about selling. Good bass but not enuogh to deafen anyone. Had them in my Grand AM..so will deffinately be enough for a Tib.

just got a new audiobahn 8002t amp for $179 off etronics.com
brand spankin new!
i got 2 audiobahn 10's off ebay for 69 a piece.. cant member the moder right now.. oh, wait.. ALUM10Q
they have a 120 oz magnet and 900 (or is it 800) rms
as i said, just got them
as everyone agrees, ebay is your friend, but you can find stuff cheaper elsewhere (like my amp.. cheapest anywhere!)
i have them in a bandpass box
i recom. a bandpass cuz they amplify eachother, and 2 10's are more than enough
audiobahn is the way to go
ever since i was lookin at soupin up a car in highschool, thats what i had been lookin at, a now, that i finally got aroudn to it, they are pretty sweet.

you guys have any reccomendations about soundproofing?

Bluetibbay, I have only one JL w3v2 but it hits...hard. Its 12in though. It can handle up to 600 watts peak or 300 rms. I have 150 watts running to it now. You wont be dissappointed if you get this sub. No matter what kind of music you listen to. They run like $199 most places.
