You need a spare wire going from the green wire to the metal piece on the switch. Shave off the black cover and wrap the spare wire around that wire... then attach the other end of that spare wire to the switch.

A ground is the same as a negative. The car's chassis (metal body) acts as a ground. Find a nearby bolt that actually goes into the metal and wrap another spare wire around the bolt (unbolt it slightly, then wrap the wire around it, then tighten the bolt). Attach that wire to the GROUND tab on the switch. OR, you could tap into a black wire (negative) somewhere. The bolt would be better. Also, make sure you use electrical tape and cover any exposed wire. You never want any wire being exposed.

The power wire from the neon should go to the ACC tab on the switch (ACC = accessory).

Alright, I drew something up REAL quick for you. I may have missed something...

the tabs on the switch may be in a different order.

ok ty majik... i dont understand the grounding part. i took the black grounding wires from the neons... twisted together.. and attached to the grounded tab on the switch. i also took the power wires of neons.. twisted and put to the acc tab on the switch.

i dont know what wires to put around the skrew? do you mean when i took the grounded wires from neons and twisted together and put on the grounded tab i should have twisted together then put on a skrew?

Leave everything the way you have it...take another spare piece of wire, attach it to a bolt that goes into the metal of the car OR a negative wire that's on the cigarette lighter, and attach that to the switch. After that, you should be good.

Can't see the image, too dark...

as long as you're only combining all positive or all negative wires. Don't mix the two.

If you still need a place to ground, where you screw in the center console, on the left side, all the way on the front where it comes to a point, the screw there screws into metal. I'm currently grounding a neon and some leds there.
