OK, I had an idea, let me know if it works....
Couldn't you do this with the halo??
and then put the LED where the red arrows are? This way you could have a full halo with minimal bright spots.
I hope the drawing makes sense.

i thought about that, but never tried it... my thought is this: if you look directly at one of these LEDs, it WILL temporarily blind you. i figured if the LEDs were mounted like your diagram, the bright spots would actually be brighter, being they are pointed right at you.
OK, and here's how i did the wiring though the door, and some of the dash...
I drilled a hole in the door and the jamb. i ran the wire in the door along with the pre-existing wires as not to mess with the window movement. and then connected them with spade connectors so that i can still remove the door panel when needed. the hole in the jamb led to the back of the fuse box/black plastic molding. I loomed and puddied the holes and wham, looks professional. i mounted some switches where my missing pocket is, and all is pretty good. one swich:city lights, the other:vents. i need to install one more for the varad undercar kit i put in this weekend.
i need to put a variable resistor in for the switches... they cast as much, if not more, light than the halos...

OK Phorq, one more idea I will run by you. I would try the theory myself, but I don't have and LEDs, resistors or acrylic rods to try it with.
Put the LEDs where the red arrows are and tape that area off with black tape?
If nobody else has the materials to do it, I will buy some and do it by next Monday, or as my schedule permits.

Tell us about that Varad underbody kit.
i will as soon as i can get a little .avi video to post... pics just don't do it justice. I may get that other one that's on Ebay, with several color LED's so you can change it. 4 sticks, 2 short and 2 long for like $270

i got mine for $150 after shipping (orange isn't a popular color) on ebay... and yes, it's just 2 48" bars. whatever you get, make sure it has the control module for all the glow patterns. without it, it ISN'T worth the money. got the video tonite, but can't download/upload til tomorrow. i'll start a new topic then. btw, you've got mail.

dangit... well, live and learn, eh? sounds like a good deal to me. the front and rear bars of varad are only 24"... rather than 36". i wonder if they sell the front and back separately, and if they'd work with the Varad controller... an email is in order.
