Cheers I'll have a look! Think I might go and have a chat with a mechanic I know, he might shed shone light to weather a 2.0 tiburon engine will run a 8 psi turbo kit with a thicker head gasket to lower the compression, or if I need to replace the pistons and rings! If anybody has done this I'd be great full for some insight!

Stock bore is 82mm
You do not need to lower the compression for 8psi. A stock motor with a good tune will handle that just fine. Make sure it's a good tune, 95% of motor failures with forced induction is from lack of tuning

By a good tune, do you mean low compression pistons! I'm happy to put 9.0 compression pistons in or I can buy a head gasket that it 3.0mm which lowers the compression to 8,1:1, I believe that it's the rings that go first when under pressure!

No... I mean having a good AFR through boost to avoid detonation, which is what destroys internals, mainly pistons. You can use whatever pistons and use whatever compression ratio you want, if you don't tune it properly, it will detonate, it will destroy your motor.
If you spent all that money on the body work, paint etc... Do not skimp out on the turbo setup, a nice looking car with a blown motor is just scrap metal. I have not seen you list what tuner your using, what wideband your using, spark plug heat range etc.. I hope you wern't just planning on throwing HUGE injectors in and calling it a day.
If you were planning running 15-20+psi then yes I would agree that you need to drop the compression ratio.

I'm not lookin to skimp on the engine, I want to keep a good engine as it's been looked after! I'm only lookin for around 8psi to remove the flat spots, and obviously bit of boost, I've already got a lightened flywheel and clutch, and will be taking it to get re mapped on dyno when turbos installed! I've been using the car as a project and never done anything like this before but upto now it looks good, paint work n all! The main reason I'm doing this is to understand the runnings of the engine in detail, as it's something I've always wanted to do,n turbo is new to me so want to make sure about what I'm doing!
What tuner setup, spark plugs & etc would you advise, I mean if you know what exactly I will need to do, that would be great as i want a engine without the boom if possible, lol
The kit which I'm gonna be using is listed above as it is specifically made for my vehicle, I only mentioned about lower compression because I've seen a tiburon turbo head gasket which lowers the compression without piston upgrade and I assumed it would take any strain off my engine and allow me to get more boost! But again just a assumption after reading other threads.
