You don't have to have the battery disconnected, just have the keys out of the ignition and the door closed.
you cant get the dash off with the soor closed. well, not easily at least.
im going to guess red was power, black was ground, green was an ignition turn on type wire, and yellow was the tach signal wire.

Like I said.
You either need to have the battery disconnected or have your keys completely out of the ignition when you take the cluster out.

Once you have, with the keys out of the ignition, take out the Gauge Cluster.
On the back is a screw that says "Tac Sig" or somthing. Run a wire to that for your signal. Then just wire up some power.

please, don't hate me, i didn't want to open a new thread for the same reason, but i need to refresh this because i'm goign to install my rpm gauge too..
according to what i found on hmaservice, on this pictures there is the main two connectors on the back:

following, in the next pictures there is the pin out of both:

so that, the question is: the pin number 5 of the IO1-2 connector is the wire i need for my rpm gauge (rpm signal) ... or should i really found that screw ? is it so clear to find out that screw before i begin to remove everything ?
