If a computer tune adds 10HP to a 400HP car, you should expect at best 2-3HP on a stock car. You would feel it, but only just, and it would do nothing to the transmission at all*. Almost nothing "always adds x horsepower" to any engine. Modifications' effects don't add up in a strictly linear fashion. .



*Your foot coming down harder will affect how the transmission shifts, big time.

If something as simple as that could get you a few more hp and save some mpgs, why didnt hyundai do it when they built the car?



The only proof that it works would be before and after dyno runs.
