Exhaust Help
Thats why you dont have a cell yet....... It usually takes between 250-350 miles for it to kick on. I have tried so many different types of simulators I cant even name them all and none of them worked correctly on the RD2's.
Sorry for the little bit off topic post.. But in Vegas, im pretty sure they just visually inspect then sniff the exhaust, no OBDII readings.. If this is the case, then when it comes emissions time, I coud just reset the ECU for smog?
If they actualy connect the sniffer to the exhaust pipe you are basicly screwed. Without the right amount of cats and such there is no way around the sniffer test. Luckily in some states they only do the OBD test.
Cars will pass fine w/out a working catalytic converter.. Ive done it myself.. Gutted Cat... Test pipe would be the same thing.. So even if you have no true cat and you havent thrown a CEL, OBD wont give error codes that the emissions can fail you for?

i could make you a "simulator" that would work. go to radio shack, get a resistor that falls within correct resistance according to webtech, cut and crimp the input and output wires on the emissions obd sensor, than solder and hetshrink that resistor in line between the two.

Ok, so here is the plan.
1. Get a new exhaust gasket because one major problem that I found out tonight is that I have a massive leak there.
2. I will be putting the stock cat on for a car show this weekend. My car just sounds like crap when I get on it.
3. I will find a silencer for my muffler. (When I find out what size I need I will pm you Dweet).
Hopefully this will give me the sound I am looking for. When I am really easy on the throttle, there is just a low growl and it sounds bad ass, but just a little more on the gass and here comes the pissed off bumble bee!!!
On the plus side, I have had 6 people ask me if I installed a turbo when they hear my exhaust smile.gif .
