beta swap PLEASE HELP

Tried using my 1.5 coil packs with beta wires and plugs. Started right up. modified the beta coil bracket to mount my alpha coils to it. looks great and runs great. No.4 cyl wire could be half an inch longer though that would be nice but it fits and thank you everybody for your help

What flex plate did you use? I have an 00 with and automatic and was thinking about putting a beta in it. I didn't know if the beta flex plate would bolt up to the Accent torque converter.

You do not wanna beta swap an automatic. the alpha auto trans is a peice of SH*T! I'd be surprized if it lasted a week with the beta attached to it,

glad you used the alpha packs and got it running, it's a common problem,
but the outcome was obvious, you can't run a beta motor with beta ignition on the beta ecu, due to different wiring and it being whole different animal,
our only options are to swap and solder the sI chip from the alpha ecu for a beta sI chip and voila, beta ecu controlled beta on stock LC harness resultingin the beta LC making it's true power, or swap the whole harness, although most of us wouldn't choose the latter,
someone try this and see if it works, i got this idea from japakos
our alpha ecu controlled beta's have a weak off the line acceleration, no low end torque whatsoever
but the tradeoff is awesome passing power or top end acceleration, i hanged with a colbalt ss and smoked a GDC impreza 2.5RS with manual and trounced the sohc civic's..

Pros:less time consuming and convenient plug and play power
Cons:Can't Use remapped ecu from NGM unless you solder the chip also
Enine swap harness swap:
Pros:your car is now a "tiburon", runs' on richer map which makes the Safc setting effective, makes it's true BHP
Cons:Time consuming, harness isn't cheap from dealership

I have the beta harness and ecm and getting off the line is not a problem. It was a major pain in the ass to do, so many wires to reroute and plugs to rewire but it is done and worth it, no CEl and CA smog legal. After looking more at the schematics I think it is possible to use the 1.5/1.6 harness and swap wires it the ecm plug to use the beta ecm.
