geico looks a bit scary, as well - http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/directory/geico

State farm looking good with a $88/month quote

Other quotes:

Amica - $89/month

esurance - $106/month

Farmers - $99/month

The General - $88/month

i think when all is said and done, i'll go with state farm, they seem to have the best reviews

That is who I have, and I have never had any issues with them at all with any of the cars I've ever insured through them. My particular agent also makes sure that OEM parts are used in any repair so I like him.

Haha very funny! I had my Supra on there too back in the day. Why you always have to hate on my old Supra?

And even though Corey's is a 2nd gen, it is looking pretty nice these days. We got it painted and put some coilovers on it. It looks like a car now and not a piece of junk. lol.

Cheapest is definitely not the best. I switched from Allstate to Geico when I owned the truck because they were cheaper. After it got stolen, Geico screwed me every which way. They marked "stained, dirt, dented, etc." for every description trying to give me the lowest return. Luckily I had pictures. Then, they absolutely refused to give me any kind of cash for the aftermarket bumpers, stereo, wheels, items inside.....

Since just about everyone here mods their vehicles, be sure you ask your insurance what they cover if you ever want to see a bit extra back on your investment. Some won't even give you access to your vehicle to get the really expensive stuff after an accident.

I also recommend putting GPS tracking in your car.

I used to work on one of those for a friend. Blew headgaskets like crazy. Large long head, very few headbolts. Surfaces had to be so flat that most shops would screw it up.

The 7Ms had a tendency to blow their HGs, they were under torqued from the factory. Once you get your hands on one you check the HG and then you generally replace it and torque it down right. Once you do that, you generally don't have issues again (unless it wasnt done right like you said). Especially if you had the NA engine, you were pretty much good to go. I miss my little Supra.

GEICO just called me to follow up on my discussion with them 2 weeks ago. I told them no dice, they were pushy and wanted to know why. I told them what happened to Josh, getting dumped without notice and she was stunned, said they have a 97-98% customer satisfaction rating. I told her it was for performance modifications on his vehicle, and her tone changed immediately. "Oh... yeah, GEICO will allow some modifications but never performance enhancements. Well, it was nice talkin' to ya! Good luck!"
