A bypass with a check valve, using an automatic shutoff on the pump when it is not pumping.

again, it cant damage the stock pump.</div>That's not what I see--when you 'pull' an electric drive faster than the applied current allows it creates electromagnetic feedback. The worst case scenario(and I have seen it happen) is that it could catch fire.

I'm not saying that this is the case, just that it could be given the setup. This could be avoided by shutting off the primary pump when the secondary is on, but then it becomes a fairly significant source of flow resistance. Which is why we use the bypass with check valve.

Unless you have some other explanation I'm not seeing.
