I'll put in my change in here since I'm one of the few people in here that pays attention to world class motorsport.
I have a lot of love for this wing, even though it only lasted about one year in the World Rally Championship, it was a lovely wing that helped create Ford and Cosworth's image. I have had the pleasure of riding in a few Escorts, and must say they were beautiful and quality built cars.

We saw this wing in the 1988 Ford Sierra Cosworth RS WRC.

The 1994 Escort Cosworth RS WRC wing is sweet. Back in the early 90's, aerodynamics was really experimental and innovative since the computer age of wind tunnel testing and drag coefficient were coming about.
I think the base Escort RS is sexy, even with the wing, it's different, functional, and just hot (stands out, attention--what rallying should be!)

You would likely increase your changes of winning the competition with it and although it does match the car, they do truly belong on the Fords and only the Fords.

well i just feel like its one of those cases where a mother has a child with some kind of weird deformity. like a huge bone sticking out its head or a caved in skull. most people will be like " damn look at that kid!" but its mother will be like "damn look at that kid, oh wait that my baby boy"
I actually had the pleasure of meeting a man who ran the Targa Newfoundland in a tribute xr4ti "Panach" as you have pictured. He actually blew his driveshaft during the race and a local helped them weld together a metal fence post as a drive shaft to get them back on the road....he proudly displays it over the entry of his workshop to this day.

Cone Assassin, please refrain from quoting an entire long post, images and all; it really clutters up the thread in a hurry. If you are responding to one image in particular and put your text in the quote, it looks like you only pressed "reply" and didn't add any content of your own. If you delete the part of a post you are not responding to and/or if you put your text outside the (quote) tags, it will be separated so everyone can see that you said something.
HKC, the Sierra was never intended to be rallied, but mid-80s Audi had blown everyone away with 4WD, so the Touring car Cossies were used for a year whilst the new 4WD shapphire Cosworth was developed.
the RWD 2 Door Sierra was built for Touring car (Saloon car racing, European equivalent of Nascar) racing in UK (BTCC) and Germany (DTM), but also saw action in Australia, as up until 1991 Touring cars were multi-class, similar to GT races, and Group A was prety much unlimited as long as there was anough road cars availalbe, so the Cossie Sierra eveolved into the RS500,

Back on topic, those wings are easily available in the UK, and have been seen on many FWD cars, and all they do is cre-ate so much drag you won't get anywhere, seen cars with 1.6 engines run out of power at 50mph with one of those wings!

I don't think it matches the body lines quite right but maybe if it was lower and not at the roof. For me Its a no. Ive seen a cobalt ss spoiler on an accent in another forum and it looked not bad. Im also not really into bling, meaning visual mods. Can't tell you what it could do for you performance wise. Hows your traction now?

traction? not the best. I use R compounds on the track and I get lots of body roll, but it still dog legs in tight turns.
Mid summer I will be lowering it and having some strut braces fab'd. The wing is visual impact. I'm not looking for big bling and without a body kit there's little visual interest I just want the lc to stand out
