Hyundai Accent Forum The Hyundai Accent Forum. Hyundai's little champ. While the Hyundai Accent and Hyundai Excel may be small, they respond very well to aftermarket modifications and is among the favorites for Hyundai tuners.

Default outrageous rear wing going to have to do it

I've had this spoiler for a while now and I jokingly set it on the back of my LC, and well, I like it! I'm getting my car ready for a tuner car show in September and this is going to be the focal piece that really will get my car noticed. I'm shooting for (best Import "other") as they don't have a "hyundai" class for awards.

I have a bit of work to do, lowering, wing, grille, sound system. It's already got minor mods; short ram intake, cat back, 16"s off an 08 accent sport I hope that the subtle upgrades and clean looks will win me an award

But hey...its your car, and if you like it...then do what makes you happy and go for it. Personally, I would either go wingless or get a low profile one. Wings like the one you have are only good for cars that EXTREMELY outrageous and are pretty much just trailer queens. For a daily driver, with basic mods (engine and exterior)...a wing like that wont earn many points on the show field, but you will get alot of laughs and head shakes from people.

You can even see from this Accent that it doesnt quite look right...

how do you plan on mounting it to the rear window?

honestly, as much as i hate big wings, i think if you do it right and add something to lower the profile of the bumpers/sides besides lowering the whole car, it can be pulled off.

Where did you get that from? Looks like it's off an old Ford Sierra.

that's right I had a XR4Ti for a while and this was in the trunk when I got it...

I'm going to basicly wrap a piece of body metal around the window and then bolt it to the side of the hatches window frame. it will be barely noticeable if I do it right

I agree the wing on the yellow one isn't pleasing, but it's very slim and really high on the car. I think if mine can be seen in body colour instead of the white as shown it will blend very nicely.

and hey it worked on cosworth escorts and sierras so why not?

here is a tasteful example
