Hyundai Accent Forum The Hyundai Accent Forum. Hyundai's little champ. While the Hyundai Accent and Hyundai Excel may be small, they respond very well to aftermarket modifications and is among the favorites for Hyundai tuners.

Way to dig up a post that was answered a year ago! wink

Times have changed since then, and we have our very own CAI DIY here on this forum.

http://www.teamsr.org/ForumLinkedImages/Ra.../rs_cai_diy.htm

And if you have a question about CAI's and bypass valves, I'd recommend searching and posting in the engine forum.

Heh

Thanks for the rapid reply.

The reason i try to bring up the topic is cuz i want Accent specific answers.

Most of what I see is for the tiburon's.

I know it can be applied almost identical but im interested in the details that go into my car mostly.

AEM makes a bypass valve that people seem to like. It's not car-specific, you just have to order the size for the pipe you're using.

And about ressurecting 'dead' posts, it's really considered more polite to start a new topic than to hijack someone else's question. It's also not very inspiring to have to read an entired topic that was buried months ago just to answer a new question. You're better off creating a new topic, with a short summary if you think that a background story is necessary, and asking questions there. It's more likely to be answered smile.gif

Can we focus on answering the actual question on this topic?

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>I added a cone air filter to my car at the end of the factory intake.
I know a CAI will bring cold air and its better. But I live in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, and when it rains it rains a lot, like now, and it floods as well.
So my fear is to get water in the engine with a CAI.
IS there a recomendation for that?

Theres a site where they show to build a true CAI on your own, and you can split it to use it as a short air intake and as a CAI. </div>
