Default any turbocharger for accents??

Are there any turbo charger for the 97 accent and if there is where and how much?

Yes there is, it will run you around 2,700 us. CAPA, and Chiptorque make one for the Accent.

You would probly be better off getting a 2.0L Beta though.

RPW sells one via Shark Racing. Cost is about $2500 plus install.

dropping in a 2.0L beta would be cheaper, and with mods, would yeild more power.

when you are talking about a 2.0L beta are you talking about a new engine or what?

The 2.0L or 1.8L beta can be found in Elantras or Tiburons. About 140hp and 133 ft-lb at the crank.

The Accent has either a 1.5L alpha or 1.6L. About 95 hp and 92 ft-lb or 105 hp and 103 ft-lb.

A used beta can be had for as cheap as $500 with ECU, but most go for about $750 to $1000 for a good low mileage unit. If I'm not mistaken, someone at Hyundaiperformance.com was considering the swap, but not sure if they completed it. I also think Dan from KORE did the swap in an accent as well.

yes KORE did the swap into a 97 accent i believe. its still in devlopment i think.
