I can't get the crankshaft pulley loose to get to the bottom part of the timing belt cover. I've been trying for about 1/2hr and it won't budge....any suggestions...i got 1.5hrs before it gets dark and i hope to be done by then.....

 

Use a long breaker bar that reaches the ground and crank over the engine.

 

If you don't have one that reaches the ground prop it against the lower control arm.

 

I'm kinda scared about doing that. i already removed most of the pullies and i don't think i would work....

 

It works, I've done it before.
