Default HEADER INSTALL ASAP!!!!!!!!!

i have the 1 piece 4-2-1 headers... how do i get the damn things in the engine bay... i cant get em up from underneath cuz either the alternator or oil filter hit it...

and i cant drop em in from above cuz the angle is 2 steep and they hit the top of the engine...

any suggestions... ive gotten 2 that point where im about 2 remove the radiator 2 get em in!!!

If you remove anything, remove the alternator and oil filter. Just plug a rag or cap over the oil filter mount/drain hole.

It is a BITCH, but you bring them up from underneath. It took me about 15 tries to get Jaws021's HVE headers in/out...and that was without the alternator and oil filter.

when i put the alternator back on how do i go about setting the belt tension... and i have to drain all my oil now dont i? god damnt

can i take the radiator out or will that now work? cuz i really dont feel like spending $$ on oil(just got it changed- mobil 1) when i can just reuse my coolant

ok i got the tension thing.. i cant even finish up 2day.. its pouring outside and my garage has the rx-7's and 3 bikes in it sleeping for the winter

Removing the oil filter won't drain out all of your oil. The majority of it is in the pan. You will only loose about 1-2 pints (half a quart) that's in the filter, and the stuff that is backed up waiting to get into the filter.

ok what u have to do is just remove teh right radiator fan and take the top hose off ... than lift the radiator out a lil bit... and slide the headers in from the bottom... and u also obviously have 2 take off the PS pump

sorry to hear the prob's dude.

i left everything on my car. i just laid it sideways under the car then turned it and it went straigt up. except for a small metal tube.
