If you remove anything, remove the alternator and oil filter. Just plug a rag or cap over the oil filter mount/drain hole.
It is a BITCH, but you bring them up from underneath. It took me about 15 tries to get Jaws021's HVE headers in/out...and that was without the alternator and oil filter.

when i put the alternator back on how do i go about setting the belt tension... and i have to drain all my oil now dont i? god damnt
can i take the radiator out or will that now work? cuz i really dont feel like spending $$ on oil(just got it changed- mobil 1) when i can just reuse my coolant

Removing the oil filter won't drain out all of your oil. The majority of it is in the pan. You will only loose about 1-2 pints (half a quart) that's in the filter, and the stuff that is backed up waiting to get into the filter.
ok what u have to do is just remove teh right radiator fan and take the top hose off ... than lift the radiator out a lil bit... and slide the headers in from the bottom... and u also obviously have 2 take off the PS pump
