Having stopped taking Adderall because I do not like the effects it has on me, I have recently returned to my over inquisitive, observational self, and I do not like what I see.
Mankind for centuries has struggled to crush those lower than us for our own benefit, and when I look through the world with these eyes what I see disgusts me. This is probably why I try to alter my reality so much with alcohol and drugs because I cannot help but see this world as a disgusting pit when I look through my normal eyes.
What is our purpose? This question has plagued us for centuries, it has spawned religion to control the masses, corrupt governments (to do the same), wars, hate, death, sickness, hunger, etc...
What do we hope to accomplish when we go down this path? Look around at your lives, all of you, everything you see is a lie. A lie contracted to do just what was mentioned above, control the masses. None of us own our homes, that is a fallacy that we are led to believe so we can feel we are accomplishing something. For most of us the banks own our homes, and for those of us who have paid off homes, you are in no better a situation. Oh sure you are led to believe the house is yours, but as long as the government is in power, they can take it away from you at a moments notice. Exchange home for your car, you RV, your timeshare, etc...
We own nothing, our money is not worth the paper it is printed on, our laws are only viable as long as they are enforced, or until the powers that be want to change them.
We send our soldiers to fight wars that have nothing to do with liberty or freedom, it's all about our government lining their pocket books. Now with this supposed "war on terror", American citizens can be targeted, imprisoned, tortured, with no due process or protection just for appearing suspicious. We are in a dark time in the United States, and the world.
What could we have expected though, the government was created to appear "for the people, by the people" which is just a line they feed us so we can be good sheep and follow the herd.
This is in no way a Republican vs Democrats argument either because in reality they are in bed together, and they are both crooks. Honestly Obama is no better than George Bush (Jr or Sr) in my eyes.
We are made slaves to a dollar that is worth nothing, but we are led to believe that it is the be all end all.
What can you do? I don't have the answers, all I know is what I see. But take a look around you with a fresh set of eyes, and really look at the way people act, behave. Mankind has the potential for much but we limit ourselves with differing religious beliefs, border wars, money, etc...
I don't put a whole lot of weight in the Mayan calendar, but things are certainly going to hell in a fast way. This country will have a revolution if things don't change fast. But that's the problem we face because our country, let alone every other country in the world, will not change anytime soon. It may already be too late.
Thats it for my thoughts for the evening, I found it easier to type this then go through the trouble of recoring a video.

"If there are two human beings left on the earth, somebody will want somebody else dead" - I can't remember where I saw that but it is very true.
You've painted a pretty bleak picture there dude, and although I've had similar thoughts myself, there isn't much to be gained (practically speaking) from dwelling on them, except maybe the ablility to cast a more critical eye on world events.
If you don't like it, leave! I don't mean that to be taken in the confrontational way, I mean that you are ultimately in control of your own destiny. You can choose to travel interstate, overseas, to a rural area etc. I bet a the owner of a cattle station would have a very different view of the government than what we do in the city.
Idk man, maybe we should have our own arab spring. Its not like the west will pull itself out of ruin at this rate.

That's the problem, leave to where? This is not just a US problem, this is a world problem. Every government in power is corrupt because it is always about money, never about what's best. Another planet isn't an option, so we have to fix what we have. I honestly think the world economy is going to crash hard, and when it does and money becomes nothing but paper you will see a worldwide uprising. People will die, governments will be toppled, and then maybe then amidst the chaos we will begin to see the bigger picture.

IMO it is a question of when, not if.
I see it this way all the time now. As it is, I have had enough, but share the opinion that there isn't anywhere else viable to go.
People need to institute change. REAL change, not the promise that the other half of our values and rights will be assaulted for the next term or two, only to be put on hold when the other team takes the ball and runs over the other half of our rights in a few years. Pitting two sides against one another and getting people to pick a team is the best way to control a population of humans. You will have half the population celebrating their "victory" as their own rights are being revoked, and their own way of life is being negatively impacted.
Most people naturally pick a side and go with it when presented with two options. I think I was born without that mentality, as I have never cared about team sports, or anything like that. I've also noticed that most stalwart Republicans or Democrats I know are also rabid sports fans. I do not think it's a coincidence.

We were made to keep God company, and to glorify Him. Most of us do a pretty lousy job at it if we even try (and most don't try). Failing to even realize that is the point, leads to all kinds of nastiness.
I read the Bible . . . the End Game is that the whole place would be destroyed in a war, but Jesus steps in and shows 'em who's boss at the last minute. Expect things to get worse.

Angels on the sideline,
Puzzled and amused.
Why did Father give these humans free will?
Now they're all confused.
Don't these talking monkeys know that Eden has enough to go around?
Plenty in this holy garden, silly monkeys
Where there's one you're bound to divide it right in two.
Angels on the sideline,
Baffled and confused.
Father blessed them all with reason,
And this is what they choose?
Monkey killing monkey killing monkey over pieces of the ground.
Silly monkeys.
Give them thumbs, they forge a blade,
And where there's one they're bound to divide it right in two.
Monkey killing monkey killing monkey over pieces of the ground.
Silly monkeys.
Give them thumbs, they make a club to beat their brother down.
How they've survived so misguided is a mystery.
Repugnant is a creature who would squander the ability
To lift an eye to heaven, conscious of his fleeting time here.
Gotta divide it all right in two.
Fight till they die over sun, over sky,
They fight till they die over sea, over air,
They fight till they die over blood, over love,
They fight till they die over words, polarizing.
Angels on the sideline again,
Benched along with patience and reason.
Angels on the sideline again,
Wondering where this tug of war will end.
Gotta divide it all right in two.

I respect your opinion and beliefs, but it always grates on me when such things are spoken as facts. You can have all the faith you want, they're not facts. But stating them as such really is what grates people with different beliefs than you the wrong way. Especially when you have two people who through faith believe in two sets of differing, sometimes conflicting, facts.
If you all (all people of all faiths) would just chill out, there wouldn't be nearly as many conflicts. "I think..." should precede most of what you say about the way things are. Because like it or not, you don't know. You're just convinced of a certain set of "facts".

Agreed. I'm a firm believer in the fact that faith and/or spirituality are very personal things, so much so, that I think it makes much more sense to say that we each have our own personal "religion" of sorts. With how many people are in the word, there are many different thoughts and ways of seeing things, its silly to expect everyone, or even a group of people, to believe the exact same thing. With that said, I respect all viewpoints of religion or faith, or lack of it, until the point where it becomes a lecture of what I should think or how I should behave (not to say that anyone here was/is doing that).

Organized religion has always been a way to control the masses. It has been used for centuries to segregate one group, and lift up another. Ever wonder why there are so many similarities between different religions? Ever wonder why most of them existed well after Paganism? Research Paganism and you will see Christianity as well as other religions stole there special days and made it there own, hell even some of their rituals. All to try and suck the pagans in and "convert" them. Because the masses were easier to control if they were controlled by fear, and guilt.
Believe how you want to believe but organized religion is the oldest pyramid scheme in the history of mankind, and it works hand in hand with our corrupt world governments.
