*bump...*ok guys, heres the deal. The "replacement element" that is so much cheaper is just a pad. ONE pad (a kit comes with two, one for the bum and one for the back) and no wires or nuthin. So thats actually a WAY worse deal. What we got is the best. Also, the switch pictured was their switch and he assures me its a high/low/off switch, so i guess it is. cant argue haha. And he also added that each comes with a thermostat (which i think you can adjust, but im not sure) that keeps the thing from getting so hot that it starts on fire. Thats always good!! haha. So yeah, any other questions? And as far as this GB goes, Id like to see it run until about when the switch one ends. (but now they are changing that so who knows... but you got some time still)
im going to use their switch in that case, it looks just as nice as the oem ones and it is hi-low
anyone have any ideas of where to mount them? i was thinking in the door panel by the window switches..but it has to look "oem"

I have cloth covers on my seats. These pads are simply installed under the covers, as per the DIY, correct? I don't want to be able to feel the pad when seated. Although this one looks like it wouldn't be as bad as the one in the DIY, which had wires for heat.
Speaking of the DIY, the last two pictures show an adjustable switch in the spot where the coin slot usually is. I assumed that was a switch to adjust the level of heat, but looking at it, that might be for headlights. I'm wondering if that switch could be used for the seats to switch between heat settings...
I'm seriously considering this and the switch GB.

^^ you should not be able to notice the heaters, i am told they are almost "paper thin." which we all know is a bit exaggerated, but it is only a thin piece of flexible carbon fiber. turns out these guys sell their stuff to hyundai dealers in some areas of the world!! but they tell me the dealers sell them at about $700 a seat... ouch. but as far as feeling it, id have to guess itd be quite minimal
that switch! the adjustable one in the DIY. i was also wondering about it. first trying to figure out what it was for, and then secondly as to how i could use it. It would be extremely difficult to wire it into these heaters tho i think. who knows
