you have non-captive. you're referring to little screws that you can probably take out using a philips head screw driver, correct?

if they are captive than you would need some wrench or powertool to take out big bolts. the reason hyundai's stock rims fit is because the pattern on the back of the rim is hollowed out so the rim goes right over the bolts without any problem. with aftermarket rims, the back of the rim is completely flat so the bolts get in the way.

captive or non-captive, be aware that i'm talking about the front wheels as well. check all your wheels. my two fronts were but not the rears.

I had screws in my rotors that prevented me from putting new wheels on. I just cut the heads off. 2000 and 2001 Tiburons don't come with captive rotors. The screws were there to hold the rotors on during the assembly (I believe that's what I've heard). It's safe to take them out. You have non-captive rotors.

No, he doesn't. They were only on the first gen's, and only on like 97's and some 98's.

The 2 screws he's talking about are there for MFR reasons, you can just take them out.

awsome. what about the rear rotors? if you can put a rim on with no problems, does that mean they're non-captive? because i only had to change my fronts to put the front rims on. the rear ones fit fine. but if i purchase non-captive rotors i will be worried if they're "secretly" captive. lol

we need more buyers soon! this is a great deal. i will try to spread the message...

tell everyone you can about this group buy. It's a great price.
I believe the front rotors are the only ones that are captive.
The rear rotors for 97-01 I believe are the exact same. Can somebody verify this?

i'm just about ready to send but i kind of want to wait for the "rest of the groupe" to show up. if we send the order now, do we have to get rush delivery with $10 charge? or do we wait for the minimum of 10 people and then send? what if we send now and there won't be 10 people ordering?

thanks man, you completely saved my car.
