actually, I've asked the same question 01tibby341. it's about 15-35hp depending on your mods with a non-turbo setup. that's a lot of horsepower coming just from a simple replacement. it really does depend on your mods. if you're running stock, obviously there are stock components in your engine "choking" the engine from breathing right, hence, delaying airflow for maximum performance to the headers.
So you see, if you buy an CAI and BBTB and AirRam to aid the headers, you're more than likely doubling the performance of the headers than if you had it stock therefore increasing the torque levels significantly.
you're probably going to be searching corners for extra hp gains after that, but now that i have my CAI, I have the need for speed. I need more horses. the GT Headers are going to look cool as well as sound breathtaking. you're helping your engine breathe like it should.
at any cost, Headers, as somebody said earlier, is the best mod you can do to your engine because it almost doubles the gains to your other mods. If you get headers, sooner or later you will be glad you have them--that is if you don't decide to go turbo. a turbo requires pampering, education, and maintenance. i know it will cost a little more to look for small hp gains, but with headers you cannot go wrong as any other modifications that you do work really well with headers. afterall, an engine is a maze. there's a starting point and an ending point. the headers are one of the most significant parts of the engine because they are the halfway mark; they are the doorway to the exit of the engine's exhaust.
what is AWSOME about these headers, is that if you add any other mod on to your engine, you not only increase the gains from that one mod, but you simultaneously increase gains to the headers. they also will sound great with a catback exhaust. i simply cannot wait to feel and hear this babe altogether.

Heh... your not getting 35hp out of a header anytime soon... Intake/Header/Exhaust is going to put you at 140-145 whp with some sort of S-AFC. The most we get N/A out of our cars (Intake, Header, Exhaust, Throttle Body, Intake Manifold, Cams, and other miscellaneous smaller items) with good tuning is maybe 165whp on a streetable Beta. You don't even get 35hp out of a V8 header application in most cases.
About the GT headers. They are more because of the design. Look at them, they are more showey than the racing ones. I think because of the shape they flow a little better, and might get a little more power.

that is right hamhead. 35hp will do for a turbo.
15 on a stock right? maybe with a little CAI and throttle body...
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The most we get N/A out of our cars (Intake, Header, Exhaust, Throttle Body, Intake Manifold, Cams, and other miscellaneous smaller items) with good tuning is maybe 165whp on a streetable Beta</div> are you sure? that seems a bit small. each small part would give you at least 5hp. GT Headers with downpipe = 10hp, Cams = 3hp, Throttle body = 4hp, CAI = 5hp, Airram = 8hp, Cat-Back with hi-flow cat = 10hp should be at least 175 horses! It should be low maintenance and really fun to drive by then. Somebody correct this.
...and what do you mean by properly tuned? a new ECU?
i also think the GT headers cost more due to their design. the exhaust won't come back up? plus it involves more precision, cutting, and welding when they are made.

HKC, he's right man, HP does NOT add up the way you think.
While adding part A may add 10 HP on a STOCK CAR, adding it on a MODIFIED car, may just add 1, or even take away some.

I e-mailed David at Kspec about that, it's the internal diameter of the different sections of piping... first is for the single runners, second (51mm) is for the mid pipes, and 61mm is for the last sections that conects to the pre cat pipe. But Headers are all the same size, it's just they are made by three different pipe diameters. I hope that answers your questions.

Thanks ZMAN.
Hey, can you guys keep this on topic please? I'll split this off later today or tomorrow into an Emissions topic, and update the members here.
BIG news coming too.
Jet Hot.com is gonna offer us a BIG discount to get Ceramic Coated...
ANYTHING.

Glad to hear of this because the $165 that they quoted to me for doing these headers was keeping me on the fence. I wasn't really sure if I wanted to shell out that much for it when it would be mostly daily driven.
