But...

Why?

Seriously. For something like a wrench...or a ratchet...why? I mean sure, if it uses electricity or air it's a questionable decision, but if you need a 12mm wrench what advantage does Snap-on give you?

It sounds like brand whoring to me unless you're a mechanic by trade.

Well 2 fold:

1.) He comes to my house if there are any problems. Also brings with him a bunch of new toys for sale as well.

2.) It was funny

The next time you're stuck in the middle of a project because your cheap cast-but-marked-as-forged tool breaks, be sure to remember this thread

A friend of mine regularly breaks his HF stuff. My Matco and Snap-On stuff rarely breaks and when it does, they come to me.

I broke a socket once because I was using a regular 1/2 drive socket with a 950ft/lb 3/4 inch drive impact, I break 1/2 to 3/8 adapters regularly (I don't buy them at HF because of this but still break them), and when I put a pry bar through the box end of a 12mm wrench I broke the jaw off.

I'm pretty sure that's the total list of HF hand tools I've broken.
