I was too busy working on the Tib's clutch and the Z lately.
But, I do know I owe you for shipping anyways. Let me know the charge for the shipping and maybe we can work something out from there.

ITZ charged me 200 bucks Jon, just send me 150, then I can hold my end of the bargain. Dont forget shipping was more due to weight (2 hoods) so if somebody else is going to pay for shipping on their hood, their part of it was supposed to be 100, but do what you will with that. I'll make sure the 150 you send goes right into shipping another hood out till they're all shipped. It shouldn't be long. Paypal to Payments@FlyRyde.com

Since you haven't gotten to posting in the FG EVO hood topic I'd ask you here publically. I'm a little confused with all the different locations of posts on costs, pricing, and payments.
Answer me this, you asked us in the FG hood sale that the cost of the hood is 300 plus 150 for shipping. I sent the 300 then waited. Then you post that it's gonna cost you an extra 50 to cover all costs and we should pay that if we're feeling generous in your cause. I decided not to for the long wait. Then, in this topic you post on the first page that FG hoods will be 415 shipped. What's the deal?
Simply, should I be expecting shipment soon? What am I supposed to pay you now for the hoods, 115 to make my total invoice 415 or 150 making the invoice 450? Have I made a mistake somewhere?</div>
Got any answers for me Chris?
Jon, those look good (minus the one corner that got chipped). Can't wait to see what they look like installed on the car. I'm looking forward to getting mine as soon as I can get a clear indication on what I'm really supposed to be sending in when I receive the hood (hint! hint!).

Well, I just got done test fitting it. Not until I got it on did I realize that the hood latch is significantly longer than the stock one.
Here are pictures of the hood completely closed and locked. As you can see, the hood leaves an inch gap above the bumper. From the front, you can see that it closes down a bit more on the left than the right. Of course, these are NOT adjustable!!! tired.gif

And here you can see the hieght difference of the two latches and the reason for it not closing.

I'll make sure ITZ gets these pictures. I cant see them right now due to a firewall where I'm at, but if you say its not right, then its not right. They used an OEM hood to get this thing made, and why anything would be longer than OEM I have no clue. So great, after all of this, the hood isn't right??? I HATE THIS part of the biz...

Yeah, it looks like they made the loop on the latch about 1.5 inches too long.
I thought they test fitted these? WTF wouldn't they put an adustable latch on there?

It looks like a hoola hoop compared to stock. I'm beginning to think ITZ are some goofballs working at itz. No wonder they have little heart for a smart guy like you chris.

I'm sending them the pics for these hoods. Since they used a stock hood, it doesn't make sense that the latch would be more than twice the size, as in the pics. I dont know guys, it'll just have to get fixed. Meanwhile, my only advice is to see if you can cut and reweld that (if that's safe?) and at the same time use some hood pins. Sucks...
ok now that i am freaked out, is my CF hood the exact same one that was on spiffy's car?
I haven't even tried fitment on it cause i was thinking it was the exact same one.
