yea Kit... search, research, and ask questions. The only stupid questions are the ones that are never asked.

i feel you bra, i have soem weak ass lights as well. to the point where i feel like i'm blind. i find myself shrieking sometimes, not trusting myself like i used to. when i got my bulbs they were bright. but not bright enough. the reason i got them was because they were 30 watts higher than the stock bulbs. nothing changed except the color. good look but you just can't see anything!

where can we buy H.I.D. conversion kits? I know they go for $3-$500. they have a good distributor on newtiburon.com. anybody know anything about this?

i agree, but aren't H.I.D. kits illegal? How hard are they to install?

wow i can sure tell when im not wanted on a thread, i get the point i ****ed(there warn me AWS, actualy ill settle for astrickes) up, god damn, ok so i look like a totaly ass, i get the point,

btw i Hyndaikitcoupe they are techincaly illegal, as far as i know (for IL for sure) you can only have them if they came STOCK in your car, otherwise i dont think your legaly alowed to ahve them, i know thats for IL idk about the rest of the states though.

P.s. I did make a good point though, the best thing u can do to your headlights (better then REAL HID's) would be properaly aligning your lights.

score two for kit here.. conversions into the stock housings are illegal in the states and the best thing you can do is properly alighn your headlights..

BTW.. do not go by the rinkydink alighing mechanism that is built into our headlights.. when I did mine so that bubble was level.. I could not see a thing as the lamps were aimed at the ground. Your best want to fix them up right is to find another car parked on level ground and use that.

not really a DIY.. this is from GE's site on the net

Proper Headlight Aim is Important

At one time or another most of us have been blinded by the glare of oncoming headlights. You flash your high beams to signal the oncoming driver to dim his lights. He responds by turning on his high beams, indicating it was his low beams that had been blinding you. They were aimed too high.

Are you sure your headlights are not blinding others? Here, from G.E., is the recommended way to check headlight aim.

Put your car on a 35-40 foot stretch of flat or evenly sloped pavement such as a driveway facing a wall or garage door.
Shine your low beams on the door from 2 to 3 feet away and outline the bright spots on the door with a pencil or tape.
Back the car to about 25 feet from the door. The top of the low beams should shine no higher than the top of the marks on the door or lower than the center of the marked circle. If your vehicle has four headlights the center of the high beam (the inner or lower two lights) should align with the top of the low beam marks. If you have only two headlights, the high beams are automatically aimed when you aim the low beams.
For most accurate aiming take your vehicle to a professional. If, on the other hand, you're a "do-it-yourselfer", follow these instructions from G.E.:

Remove the outer trim for access to the adjustment screws. To raise the beam turn the top adjustment screw clockwise; counter clockwise to lower the beam. Turn the side adjustment screw clockwise to move the beam to the right and counterclockwise to move it to the left.
Bring each beam into its final position by turning the adjusting screws clockwise so the headlamp will be held against its tension springs when the operation is completed.
If your lights continue to be out of adjustment, consult a service technician

my list was the best and most complete, btw about the headlights, u gotta align them, its true the original setting SUCKS major, but if u jiggle the adjustment on them a little YOUL GET THE BEST DAMN LIGHTING EVER, ive never seen better lighting then on my Tib, well, i do have real Xenon bright blueish ultrawhite bulbs, the HID ish type, and those help alot also, and when i put on the high beams, god darn it feels like i light up the place the power of the sun seriusly.

so why does it seem like everyones tib has cracked door handles?
the blower does get pretty loud at 3 and 4 but thats expectable with the amount of air that goes through the vents at that speed

the HID ish type..............................
Also, Kit how long have you had the bulbs in? Have they burned out? needed replacement? I heard those eBay HID crap bulbs burn out alot but I think it was only one specific seller's bulbs....
