i bought the sylvania silverstar headlights (H7) today...

and the results? crappy.

they were almost the same brightness / colour as the stock bulbs.

BOO. i was expecting them to be a lot whiter and brighter, since Sylvania claims them to be the closest thing to HID a halogen bulb can get.

anyone else had experience with these?

which bulbs do YOU guys use?

which do you think is the best for tibby?

(FYI, i bought them at Canadian Tire, if anyone in Canada wants to get them...)

sorry to hear that those rather expensive bulbs are crappy... i too was curious about them. tiburons, especially 2nd gens are known for blowing bulbs every few months, some sort of current regulation problem. with that in mind, i either get the cheapest blue/xenon/fake-hid bulbs available on ebay, or just the run-of-the-mill bulbs from autozone. there's no sense getting the expensive ones that have no guarantee of lasting more than a season.

if you are facing this problem (of frequently blown bulbs), the only thing i've heard to help prolong their lives is to let the car run for about 20 seconds before turning on your headlights. this apparently lets the voltage settle, thus doing less damage to the bulbs. or you could always go true HID.
