looks really good, i'd still take care of the edges though. you can get some vacuum tube at autozone, black 1/4" diameter. clean it, put a slice lenghtwise in it. it looks like weather stripping on the windows. Line the edges with it and it should look completely finished. I've used it on a few things. it really makes things look good.

i think it looks pretty cool. you probably wouldnt really even notice it if you werent really looking for it. i think its pretty innovative and hey, if it helps just a little bit... then it is doing some good.
