Escort Vents Etc Part 2
We will just have to start refering to Pandy as "panda" now because his car is black and white. Or would Penguin be better?
Either way, it's looking good. Knowing something about what the Euro's think is cool, your tib should really stand out

I reckon it'd look alright if the whole hood (including the vents) were painted a glossy black. Then the black & white two-tone thing would look like it was mreally meant to be two-tone, rather than an afterthought with stick-on bits.
Not trying to be harsh. Just my opinion.

i agree.
you'll grow out of want you're thinking about doing. after you do it, you'll be unhappy and then you'll redo it. just tlaking from experience.

Don't be an ass long. Pandy's what, 31? I think he's growed up enough to make his own decisions. You're not so wise as to know whether he'll like what he's doing down he road, so don't be an idiot by pretending to be.

I'm 33.. But Im not as old as Art laugh.gif owned.gif (joke).
In the UK it is very VERY common to 'color code' cars.. Infact, let me rephrase that.. In the late 80's and early 90's it was very common to color code cars like that.
It's a look I have always liked, for what? 17 years or more lol, so I cant see my taste changing..
One of the coolest cars I ever saw was a friend of mine's Fiesta XR2. It was white with lavender accents.. Handles, ford badges, inside of the rims.. It looked really cool.
As I said, I'm very eccentric and know what I like.. I have been waiting years to get a car like the Tiburon to make mine. I only ever owned one car in the UK and that was many moons ago (austin metro turbo) and I had no license, so it would be trailered to shows (had a 18" stroker in the back) and I ended up blowing the turbo at a show doing burnouts.. oops.
The tib is everything I ever wanted from a car, 2 door sport car with curvy lines akin to a 70's ferrari.. I came from a middle class family and we never had much, my father died at 35 (I was 7) and so I got used to going without very early on.
This is why I hate it when rich wankers dog on my car. It's mine, paid for, and means the world to me. If I would have sat down 10 years ago and thought I would one day be driving a car as nice as my tib I would have laughed.
Nothing matters in life if you dont appreciate it. And I love my car more than any spoilt little shit could ever love his 05 mustang.
Edit to say this..
At my age in life I dont do things to impress others or make others happy. I am myself, happy within and that makes other people smile. It's nice when you can do that without trying !
So basically (and this sounds really selfish and ignorant but I would say it's more wisdom) I dont (truly) give a crap what anyone thinks of the car or me, tbh I dont have the time or the energy to worry about that. Life's short, I do what feels right to me and for me, I dont worry about anything else.
So why do I post these threads? well I guess it is all about perception and how you see the world. I post here (pics and all) to contribute to the forum, I mean posts are what makes the place alive and gives people something to read. I read nearly every thread that goes up here, I dont post in all of them though but I love to read them. If I dont have anything nice to say to someone I wont say it at all, that's their ball and I dont want to take it from them...
I dont show off and Im not flashy, I know Im not perfect and never expected anyone to think I was. But, I have seen alot in life and know what it's all about. Hence why I try and emphasise on the good parts of life whilst not getting into the bad (arguing, dissing other people or anything else). The last time I dissed someone was because I was jealous of them, and it didnt take me long to realise that.
Man, that would have been about 10 years ago now lol.. Since then I have learned not to be jealous. It's the people who try and create jealousy that are jealous themselves. so I dont play into the game.
Anyways I also got blue anodized pedals with carbon bits, so once theyre on Ill add a pic or 2 smile.gif

Well the paint is done.
2 slight problems, one run on the passenger door and some bugs got in there (god only knows how) but overall its very pretty.
I used a crazy ammount of flake so it's a tad rough feeling, but its shiny as anything with hardly any dry spots.
Ill get pics in the day, without direct light it doesnt do anything.
