yep..well..life can be a b*tch sometimes.... you can try DIY at the risk of messing the lense up and potentially making the lense foggy later on....or just bite the bullet and buy some Clear Corners...

alright, I created DIY clear corners. I waited until I had the money to buy Clear Corners for $70 through Speedstate before trying it, in case I broke a lens.

I took a screwdriver and a hammer... sat down on the couch in front of the TV...
Stick the screwdriver into the bulb hole and hit the end of the screwdriver with the hammer. The amber colored plastic piece is pretty thick, so it'll take some hittin' to make it crack. Once it cracks, try to use those to break off little pieces. If you break off big chunks, use needle nose pliers to break them into smaller pieces. Be careful not to crack the lens, that's when you'll have to reach into your backup reserve and buy some from SPEEDSTATE.

I used the edge of a flat head screwdriver to try and get it to crack the plastic piece inside. I was able to get most of the amber colored plastic piece out by breaking off chunks, but when it got to thefar inside corner and I couldn't reach it with a screwdriver, I used a pair of pliers and an Allen Key to pry it off. Make sure it's a small piece before you do this. I tried to do it with a large piece still in there and it cracked the lens. I bought a stock corner for like $10 and cleared it to make it work. Any questions, feel free to e-mail me. It took about an hour of watching TV and bangin' away before I got one complete. I was scared to crack the lens.

Good luck...

Edit: Sorry, this is the 2nd post in 2 days that has been directed at me that I seemed to have missed. If anybody ever has questions for me or posts something directed at me, please PM me with a link to make sure I see it. Sorry again for the tardiness

if you look closely, there are very few spots where it looks like there is still a little amber piece in there, but as you can see in my signature and cardomain site, you can't tell unless you're looking for it, and even then it isn't noticable
