If you decide to do this bear in mind that if your new silicone seal is not completely airtight condensation will form on the inside of your lights at the first rain or when you wash your car. And once it's in it's not that easy to get out.

There is a vent to allow moisture out.. but if push came to shove.. you could always get a jeweler's drill and put a pinprick hole in the bottom to drain.

What do you use to heat the glue. It is not all gooie like the headlight glue? So I tried a hair dryer, no luck, oven is too much for the thin plastic on the rest of the piece. So any known Methods of heating the glue???

What about an oven on warm, 150-200 degrees. Should soften it up enough.

FYI, i had an extra corner, and i tried the DIY clear corner... disaster. even with much care, i cracked the lens to the point of extreme ugliness... it isn't easy, and it IS risky. the glue holding the reflector is very strong and brittle.

Have you tried speedstate.com?
They sell them for $95 CND and they're now located near active electronics.

ya i know speedstate.com has recently moved a lot closer to where i live right now...

but then my theory is...the "looks" of the car, i wanna do it myself, as in not to spend too much money on it.

i'd rather spend those 95 bucks on getting, let's say, a strut bar, for more performance.

see what i mean?
