Dont hold your breath on under 500. If we can even find a vendor who would take on a short run of these will be a God send. I'd say we should plan for the worst and hope for the best. I'd budget between 500-800 shipped for something like this. This is what I remember it being when this was last discussed.

EDIT:

Here is a link to one site I found that will do custom body kits. I would imagine something like a Hatch would fall into this category. Says they need at least 10 orders, pre-paid, and the cost is 675 per order. Also, they will need access to a tibby in California, or at least the hatch I would assume.

Custom body kit

Not that we have to go with this company, but just to give folks an idea of what we would all be jumping into financially and feasibly. We would need a donor car, or a donor hatch at the least. Oh, and that price does NOT include shipping charges.

Any chance they could make an RD1 hatch? Is there anyone up there with an RD1? I would definitely be on the list if you could make this happen.

Wow! Folks want to work this summer LOL!!!

Regit, I have two companies now who are interested in doing these as well. Lets get this thing goin!!

Can you find out if they will be able to do an RD1 hatch and/or an RD2 hatch and how much that would be.

The one company just got back to me about pricing. Here it goes:

For the pricing, we can have 2 different options:

1. You pay for the molding ($800) and we can start with 5 hatches
the price for each hatch would be $680 each
2. We pay for the molding and the price would be $800 each for the first 5
hatches.
Additional hatch (after that 5 hatches) would be $680 each

Hopefully this gives folks an idea as to the pricing. It would actually be better for us to do option 2. Option 1 adds up to 4200.00 and option 2 adds up to 4000.00

Going to check to see if that includes shipping at all.

Tom...

see if they would do 800 shipped to anyone in the continental U.S.

my cf hood cost me roughly if i can remember right 150 to ship from cali to kansas. if we could gather up say five rd1 hatches and 5 rd2 hatches (I know this is a stretch) they shouldn't have a problem meeting that shipping goal i gave you.

if they can, put me on the list.

Will Do Lee. I just emailed them to see what shipping costs would be.

So far, I think the most difficult thing will be getting 5 RD1's and 5 RD2's

Who do we have interested so far:

RD1:

Me(tibbytib)
reddemontib
Red97

RD2:

UrSONvS
Regit
DTN
Lexone

Pretty good start seeing this thread went up last night. Getting folks to ACTUALLY commit monetarily will be another story....no offense folks, just how it is.

I would have had this way back if I didn't f*** things up with FlyRyde when projects were going well. I'm having new parts made for the Genesis now, and if I had enough of you guys interested, I could at least facilitate the hatch getting made and have you pay ITZ directly up front. All I'd get out of it, is the option to sell these in the future and I wouldn't need any cash from it, but damn, I'm happy to help.

I sell CF Hatches for the 03-08 Tiburon pretty often these days, and I just wish I'd have made the mold for the RD back then too. My price for the CF Hatch on the GK is 725, but My guess is that if you guys got 5 guys to buy a CF Hatch at like 550-600 a piece, ITZ would make them for you. Whatcha think? The 5 would have to be RD only or RD2 only. I dont do exclusive products for the Tiburon anymore, but since almost nobody else sells the hyundai stuff besides me, its almost the same. Who wants to make it happen?

Lets see how my stocks pan out. I've got one that jumped up 460% in the last 4 days. That's my play money. If I have a few more good days, count me in. The day that these guys at musicmatrix.com http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=enti.pk get up to .008 or .01 is the day I buy a first 5 $800 hatch. I can't pull out for a loss. Just being honest, my money's tied up right now.

This sounds like a epic part to have on the tibby. I would be in but am still saving for my turbo project.
