Body Work Pics.
make sure they do the molding right.. and make sure they mold the front of those skirts SMOOTH with the body lines and NOT just mold them on.. cuz i have seen some shops just mold skirts in and keep that part of the skirt on there, and not match the original body line, and it looks liek crap.. hopefully i will either a) get mine molded and resprayed next winter, or b) get my king skirts and get them molded in next spring.

tiburons gutted look mad hell sweet. they look like ferrari bodies.
looks hot man, but just one thing. that's a lot to pay for something that will get damaged in a matter of months. happy birthday bro but on your 22n'd you'll be all bummed out it's got dings, cracks, and stone chips.
i'm happy though, it looks and will look a ton better and is definitely worth the investment. although 5k, i would have spent it on a supercharger. (reason for that is because S/C is lower maintenance and ok for DD.
definitely show some pics! my dad's elantra is the same color as Mad_johns, it never gets old.
oh yeah,
that really depends on where you live, how you drive, and what your paint goes through. i take your word, but just pointing out. my paint went out because i waxed it hundreds of times and we get LOTS of leaves here so it's always dusty and dirty.

Thanks HKC for the post. About the bodywork not lasting a lot of time, i will be SURE to drive safelly, and cautiosly, cause i dont want to get it all messed up in so little time. Although i live in a dirt road... so that dont help much. On the S/C, i am planning on getting one, but that will be during the spring after i get my taxes returned, Lord willing.

CF is staying as is, i like CF, that's why i bought it, i like the look and i like the weight, although it wont be that noticable with the gray paint that i'm getting now as it was with the orange paint.

Uh, well the skirts are not going to go all the way smooth, i didnt like the way it looked on some cars that have them molded smooth to the body, i like it so it'll be noticed a little bump that its not part of the car but i didnt want a gap between the skirt and body. That's only my taste, i bet yours will look awsome also when you get all your body work and new paint done. Anyway, what color are you going for?
umm. im going with a DARK DARK blue, with black pearl.. so itll look almost black in the shade, and blue in the sun.. or i may do reallly dark charcoal gray, with blue pearl..
yah i wasnt talking about cutting em to have a gap, but to just look completely smooth, like the skirts are part of the fenders, but the line flows down.. ill show ya what i mean, when i get the confidence to do the body work.. lol
im sure itll still look good, but i love the car to carry smooth lines as much as possible, which is why my front bumper will be modified alot when i get my car redone.. i will be doing custom wide front end..

Mine's going to look just like yours in a couple weeks.....Everything is being stripped down.......
But mine's going to total somewhere around $8K....but thats before the partial "sponsorship" is applied. I'll only end up paying around 2K.

I bet your tib will look sweet. I know you meant molding the sides by makeing them smooth, but i dont get what you mean with that. Do you mean like shaveing the bumps on the biggining of the skirt on the front fender and makeing it smooth, or covering the lines of the skirts were it unites with the body?
Anyway, when ever you get your bodywork done i'll see, and dont rush at it, since it'll be a lot of money, and right now you're in a deep situation. Dont rush at it like me. Do it when ever you have the money and time, oh, and support also.

OOOOOH, SPONSORSHIP!! cool bro. it's good that you have a partial sponsor, at least you have one and u dont have to end up paying the whole bill for it.
And what are you doing to your car? Bodywork and paint or just paint?

They will be takeing the windshield off, cause i have to replace it since it has a big crack in front of the driverside, and the rear quarter windows i think they will be tapeing it off.
They will do a good job, they supposably have 30years in experience... I saw a 67 mustang they painted and did a lot of bodywork to it also, and it turned out great, that's why i decided to have them do it, they were restoring the whole damn car!!
I dont know what brand of paint they gonna use, i dont remember quite well the brand of the paint, but it will be the XA Santa Fe color from hyundai. I gave the owner the paint code and the name of the paint, also were it was from so he wouldnt mess it up with some other paint. And it was the owner who took me all around the shop and showed me their job on the mustang and all that jazz.
Thanks again Mad_John for the helpful info and every body for their replays.
i wont be rushing it.. i will be doing ALL the body work myself, once i get everything situated..
what i mean by how I am going to mold it is like this.. shaving the bumps and making it smooth..

just a chop, but i think you can see what im talking about..
just seems cleaner to me.. but up to you..
im VERY anxious to see your car when its out of the shop, i wanna see how the CF looks with that color
