No, sorry, I have never used a flammable engine cleaner or WD40 on my engine bay.

As we said last time too man, the way you say it, some MORON will come into their garage after reading this and dump some gas on their HOT ENGINE. Doesn't matter, using gas to clean your engine bay is stupid, and hazzardous to your health and environment. Get a good citrus based cleaner and have at it, via the instructions.

On a side note, WD-40 makes for poor starting fluid. tongue.gif

You could use gas to clean your engine bay, but if you want to waste a rag drenched in gasoline...that's prolly more expensive than getting an engine degreaser/cleaner.

^^ Looks pretty good. At least get rid of that resonator though. tongue.gif

Any old t-shirts I have become rags for my cars... good way to recycle the things. So not really wasting any money that way. wink1.gif Gas is getting rather expensive though.

You sure WD-40 isn't flammable? I had some overspray go over by the heater I was running one time and it created a mini-fireball. Of course those heaters can catch your clothes on fire if you stand right on top of them, so I dunno.

oh no, nobody ever said wd40 wasnt flammable. i too have experimented with wd40 and a blowtorch, and the burnt up little ants out by my garage can account for that lol.gif

just kidding, but it is really flammable. just not as much as gasoline.

Good Nice that engine.... But watch out for the radiator hose.... it's looks "dry"... maybe is time to change it....

I washed my car with high pressure water, but avoiding any sensor or wire.... an never use HOT WATER... it damage the hoses, rubbers and etc....

I don't like those sprays that cleans the engines.... you have to let it in the engine like 20 minutes before wash it with water....

The only think that you have to get sure not get wet is the sparkplugs hole.... check the fuel lines that everything is in its possition...

Silicone Lube will work wonders on your hoses and all plastics of your engine. The stuff dries pretty quickly so you don't have any buildup of dust on your parts like you would with WD40 and Armorall. Silicone compound is what we use for electrical cables in my job. I've tried silicone lube on the engine and it works very well. Cleans and shines everything to that factory look. It will remove grime from your hoses and plastics, nourish them, and it also cleans metal fairly well.
