LOL not colorful enough. I still have to double check some wires on my good harness to get everything to work. (Extending half of it to get my ecu over behind the glove box)

Come on, extending 70 wires isn't that bad... I mean heck, I rebuilt a 50+ pin connector on a pilot's intercomm box during preflight before a mission so that's cake right there. Nasty cake that was made with rancid milk and "special" chocolate. I recommend getting some of the little post-is tabs so you can write wire numbers on there in BIG writing, but it looks a little bit late for that...

We're about to find out if it's compatible but I'm pretty sure it is, seeing nobody who did the swap mentioned it before, that I've seen.

It'd be fun if that MT is a code for the shell on the box, and it's for both flavors of transaxle. nana.gif

Good information, thanks. Way to illumine the ignorant. drillsergeant.gif

We need HKC in here. Supposedly the TCU is not required. You just have to jumper a wire on the ECU and then pull the TCU out of the circuit. I'm not sure on this. HKC did the swap. Send him a PM. He's one of the few people who actually take the time to understand the car.

I think there's a thread on here that explains it, did you check the auto-manual swap DIY thread?

I'm not experienced on this at all, I've just heard what others have said.

I pulled the auto TCM but don't remember ever putting a manual TCM in. I don't remember grabbing one from the junk yard, or plugging one up. I didn't know there was a TCM for manuals.

You should be fine without it.

There was very little rewiring needed. One pin on the ECU (for battery) and a plug hanging down... my friend got that one for me. Took forever to find, not sure we ever found it.

I also swapped the plug on the top of the transmission, went from an oval(or square) plug to a circular I think. Plugs into the top of the tranny, and that's for reverse lights

thanks for the responses guys. I guess we'll find out. I'm going ahead without a manual tcm. We'll see what happens. I can always go back and get it later if I need it.
