As Todonnel said try water wetter and possibly changing your colant mixture to 70% water and 30% coolant as this should drop down your temps a bit

no it hasnt over heated since, but i havent drivin the car in mid-day traffic yet. but the fan does work now. i'll probably throw in some water wetter as the summer progresses.
