1250 to fix tranny...and i think i just killed my wheel bearing... mad.gif sad.gif


it was a wear and tear damage...and, in addition, overdrive bushing was blown, and part of it got inside of tranny...

just got back from the shop...same problem...with tranny...

 

Ehhh, a new tranny is about 1/3 that, why not just get one and install it yourself? Save 700 bucks.

 

1) too late... already paid..

2) I'm no mechanic.. look when i signed up on the forum - thats when i started learning stuff about cars...

 

Ew dont get another auto tranny. It's evident they SUCK balls for our cars. I bet just swapping the tranny via the dealer would've been cheaper. That's what I'm doing this March : )

 

please dear god don't tell me you bought an auto..
$1300 would cover the cost of a lightly used 5speed and the cost of a pro-install....

 

after searching for a "pro-installer" who can cut me a swap..............i've been given an estimate of 2500...

i DO NOT have friends who can help with that.
i DO NOT have space at home to do it.
i DO need my car back asap...


Update...
took it from the shop.. 5 miles away got same grinding noise...mechanic claims that he can't hear the noise...
if they'll tell me that it is something else and not tranny..i'm gonna torch their friggin place..
