since i'm looking for a new tranny... does it have to be a strictly Tib tranny?

or elantras will work too?

in other words. if it's a beta engine, it'll work...

i'm not sure if a tranny from a 1.8 would mate to a 2.0 though. someone else would have to verify that

If you go to http://car-part.com/ they have them for $350 to $700 in your neck of the woods. Remember to check them all out and get all your info on the tranny that you can before buying such as mileage and stuff but I'm sure you know that. Just making sure you don't do everything in utter haste.

how reliable the information in the Car-parts?

Say, i see there are grades of the product A and A+, but some trannys are running their 100K miles already..

is 600$ for our tranny a reasonable price?

Junkyards are going to be your best bet, most places acquire and rebuild parts for a profit. Like altenators and such I am sure they have trannies for your needs.

Anyway to get in touch with the original owner? wink1.gif
