Hey if you have the box your kit came in what does the part number on it say? The one I have sitting here says VHR-215PLT.

While I am finding this all very informative and I hope you are getting the help you need.. please do not start any kind of flame with Rick... I will lock this if it gets out of hand.

That said, I hope you get it all sorted out quick.. there is nothing worse than a car you cannot drive.

Sorry to hear about your clutch problems. Hope it works out.

The Valeo I purchased ended up working perfectly. I also had my mechanic install the new updated upper and lower clutch bushings from Hyundai, although I didn't have any squeaking that I noticed.

my mechanic is threatening to charge me tripple for having to take it apart and put it back together 3 times just so it's not taking up one of his lifts. HELP!!!!

I managed to piss off my mechanic as well, since my Tib sat on his lift for several days waiting for the clutch. Even though I told him not to start on it until I brought in the new clutch. So the promised "free" flywheel resurfacing ended up costing $100. I decided to wait on the lightened flywheel until I get an aftermarket clutch in the future. I'm still undecuded as to what I want to do with this car, and funds are tight. I lost my job because I was without a car for so long, and missed a lot of school. I'm just glad to finally be driving.

Mad, no flaming here. Wasn't intened to be.

Ok ladies and gents. The VHR is finally installed. If you have a similar problem in the future that I did this is what we had to do to resolve the issue. Thanks to a full time Speed Shop in Miami we had to call to get the info we needed. If after you install your VHR thereis still approximately an 1/8 difference which causes the hydrolics to not reach far enough to reach the bearing, you have to make sure that the snap ring is open all the way before you apply the pressure to get the throw out bearing to slide into home completely. Hope this makes sence and that it will help in the future.

PS. This all happened after the bearing snaped into place. It just didn't snap in far enough which caused the 1/8" difference.

We consulted with two Hyundai line Tech's. Had nothing to do with it. It has to do with the snap ring on the VHR. By the way, just got home with it. Hope you all have new tires...LOL It's a f'en beast.

Props to Rick and RE

I know what you mean, at first I was burning rubber like a noob. I have about 350 miles on the new clutch and it's getting better, although first gear can still kick my ass sometimes.

Well, Without actually seeing it, my guess would be that the throw out berring wasnt seated in the fork properly.

I tried saying that.... Only thing I could think of that would not let the peddel reach the floor.
