I cleaned the heck out of mine. Three times in 3 months, and I even baked them in an oven once. There was nothing I could do to prevent it. I tried a different paint too. I finally coated them in silicone, then wrapped them, then coated gain in silicone based paint. Nothing works.

yeah still Jet-Hot from way back when. it's not bad, but the whole bottom of the downpipe is rusted. i can't complain though because it's better than nothing.

DTN what paint/company and temperature did you use?

i remember that quite clearly! i know you are a perfectionist. i see the hardships you went through... i'm not expecting much from this, but i think that coating beneath will help some. so your VHT ended up bubbling huh. what of it now?

DTN knows his stuff. 3 days into it and I spotted a few flakes on the bottom sad.gif If 3 months is what it takes for this thing to look ugly then I'm in trouble.

However, it looks really good on the radiator and the manifold. My best guess is it's sold as header paint, but it's really for low heat applications. Somewhat of a gimmick just to market their product under a different name.
