I put the stock camshaft's back in yesterday. This morning I put in the Shark Racing camshaft's. Hopefully tomorrow I will be able to get the car to start over. I will keep everyone posted.

Oh, yeah baby, here comes the power!!! LOL.

The power curve is totally awesome, it just pulls harder and harder, my dyno sheet shows that the power doesn't fall off, even at redline.

A couple years back SR was selling cams.

I had the same exact problem when I did my 1.8L cam swap. I ended up needing some new valve-seals as oil was just pouring into cylinder 1 & causing zero compression.

Shark Racing did make camshafts a few years ago when they had good products. Finding a set is rare nowadays.

Would you want to go through what I did to get a daily driver to run?

I picked them up for 250USD shipped. There isn't much information about them on the interweb.

Hopefully I will not have these issues. If I need to, I will take out the HLA's and let them soak overnight.

Damn, I paid $625 shipped. OUCH!!! But that was like a year ago.

If you can't get any compression, you will have to do what I said earlier about bleeding the lifters to remove the oil from them, do not soak them, they will just fill up with more oil!!

Good luck.

I went over today to attempt to start the car, and still nothing. There is definatley no compression. I did thirty second starts, and then let the start cool down for about two minutes. I'm going to go over again tomorrow after work and see if anything has changed, if not. I will be pulling the camshafts again to bleed the lifters.

I did alittle more investigative work. I'm not sure if this is a problem or not, but the inntake camshaft lobes are not even hitting the lifters. There is about 1/4 inch a clearance between the two. I checked on the exhaust camshaft side, and every lobe is touching the lifters. Could this be why I am not getting any compression? Assuming this is the way it should be setup, the valves should in theory be closed, allowing for compression. I guess if I dont get a definitive answer, I will need to rip the head off the car and diagnos the issue from there. Here are some picture's.

Well, after talking to someone more knowledgeable on the heads, it seems I have bent the intake valves. I'm assuming the crank went 180 degrees out, causing the issues. I can get a head for around 100 dollars shipped. I guess it's time to start on engine work!
