The beta block won't need sleeves it's already a good piece, but sleeves might be needed if you want to go with a large overbore
pauter rods should take lots of abuse too, might be a better choice for those wanting lighter rods

Agreed,

If you can keep from it, no motor should be resleeved. Honda engines are open deck motors, which sometimes are resleeved and block-guarded to make serious power. Even with the large cumulative total of experience with those motors, many of them that have been resleeved have problems with the sleeves sinking after a few thousand miles.

The BETA is a solid deck design, and the stock sleeves are enough for a 0.040" overbore and more power than the crankshaft can deal with (which is around 750whp)

Hmmm so I'll only need the sleeves if the overbore is to be greater >0.040"? How much material is between the bores and the water jackets/oil galleries Red?

I'm going to try a 0.060 overbore. Wish me luck.

It LOOKS like the sleeves are at least 5-6mm thick, so I should be able to remove 1.5mm safely. SHOULD...*gulp*

Wish me luck boys!

Random, if you want to be sure just have the block sonic tested,if yours pass the test it doesn't mean another block will do,some castings are better then others, remember too that thin cylinder walls will flex and negate gains in power

Sorry, I'm waiting till I hear back from all companies before posting.

BTW.

I should put up a poll for this one.

Which do people want?
0.020 overbore .5mm
0.040 overbore 1mm

I had originally spec'd out the pistions at .040 overbore for the group buy.

Also, does anyone else want 1.8L rods besides me?
