Default Piston and Rod Group Buy?

I know there are several guys out there considering doing turbo kits, and at various different stages of buildups.

Anyone interested in doing a group buy on Pistons (ross) and rods (crower) in the next 30 days.

30 days means you MUST have your money in in 30 days.

What is the normal price on them and what will be the Group Buy. I am sure there many people who need them.
By the way, are they going to fit BETA 2?

In 30 DAYs, yeah I would be down as long as it was the .20 bore over Pistons from Ross. I think those are the same ones Onpol has from Cali. As for the Rods its cool too. Give us a date and a price Random. Hope they give us a good cheap deal. A break on the prices would be lovely right about now.

I am not going turbo, but a lightened, durable piston and connecting rod would do just fine.

How much $

Onpol is from Puerto Rico. I'm from Albuquerque smile.gif

The normal price on Ross pistons (what I paid) is $550 with rings and pins, compression is your choice from stock to as low as 7:1. It's likely that Ross will only be providing overbore pistons in 0.020"... And since Ross provides forged pistons, these are pretty stout little puppies but require the engine to be fully warmed up before driving. You WILL hear them slapping when you start the motor cold...

Crower rods are a bit heavier than stock; like 680 grams if I remember correctly is the total weight. You really only need these puppies if you're aiming for more than 300-350 wheel horsepower.

Hmm, didnt want to go heavier, I am thinking about going with some Wiesco titanium alloy based pistons...

I have replaced many a stock piston with these, (on my 125's-250's) and they kick ass. Shorter piston skirt, usually 50-75 grams lighter per piston too,

The boys here in Korea swear by the Wiesco pistons. Stock bore. The spec should be in their CAD/CAM machines. I haven't hear of a single piston letting go even in the 600+ WHP monsters. The same holds true for the Crower rods.
