overdrive, you mean they will spin faster?

if so it will be ok for low and mid RPM, I'm not sure about high RPM, cause p/s pump, water pump and alt. were designed to work in specific RPM range.

hmm thats true at high rpms it might cause a problem i would hate to burn out the alternator....

i wonder if i can overdrive the crank and install underdrive pulleys for the accessories would that basically counteract anythin but would a overdrive pulley cause a problem on the motor itself?

more drag... think of it like a 10 speed bike (or a 21 speed mountain bike) underdriving is like being on the small crank ring and the large sprocket in back. You can spin your heart out and feel little drag. Makes for great acceleration.

Overdriving would be like having the chain on the large ring and the small sprocket in back. LOTS of power is needed to spin the pedals.

Dave, everything should be fine if you use same gear ratios (acc pulley diameter divide by crank pulley diameter). If you use bigger crank pulley - use bigger accessory pulleys.
