i'm not sure if this has been asked before but since i was thinking of turboing my car. my buddy with his 2nd gen gst came over and i was looking at it. and it looked like the oil pan from there would fit on to the beta. i'm not to sure but the design is the same as ours, like where the crease goes up for the down pipe. how i thought of it, it would save time of drilling and tapping lines for oil.

correct me if i'm wrong.

anything is possible, I've never heard of anyone doing that or even thinking it would work.

It's unlikely that two different car manufacturers are going to come up with the exact same design and bolt hole locations for their oil pans even though they appear to be similar. The best way to find out is to try it and see if it fits just remember to examine them both as closely as possible to avoid wasting your time. Check the bolt locations, dipstick location, etc.

If you decide to try it let us know how it turns out.

pretty much every cars oil pan will look like it will work, but ive never seen one cross over like that. but being that the beta is loosely based on the mitsu motor, it has a possibility. but as said, i doubt it will actually work.

why not just use an 01 + elantra, 03+ tibby beta one? its an upgrade, and you know it will work.

i was going to go to autoazone or adavanced and take a look at both oil pan gaskets and see if they matched up. i just want to take the lazy way out of tapping the oil lines.

it only takes litterally like 5 minutes to tap a return line, if your gonna go turbo, its probably one of the easiest things your gonna be looking at.

Can anyone confirm that the aluminium oil pan from the Beta2 will fit on a Beta1?
