Ok i installed the OBD2 software from my PC and followed the instructions Alex gave me.I entered the software ID number and went through.I followed the instructions and it said its recommended for seperate directorys and i did.I opened up a new folder for all 8 Sample Scans and put them in that folder. Now there is a Total of 22 files?
I copied everything on a Disc so i can install it into my Laptop.I installed it into my Hard drive and it doesnt allow me proceed?
When i open the Obd2.exe file it says "Your Vehicle folder C:/Windows/Desktop/OB2/Noconnect.Log is gone". Then when i press OK,it displays "Put Object to undefined item". What does this mean which object?

Copy the Noconnect.Log from your desktop to your laptop.
That should solve the issue.
BTW...You might want to create a folder called ODB2 or SCAN TOOL off the C: drive rather than off the desktop. The more crap you put on your desktop, the slower your computer is.

Read the help and readme.txt files that come with the software. That answered about 95% of my questions on how to use the program. The rest, either go to the odb2.com website and look around, email the maker, or post them here. smile.gif
Ok im trying to get use to this scan tool. Its all new to me.
When i scanned my car for codes i pressed the request button no codes. On the Status folder it says YES to misfire.Anyone has this problem?

How'd you hook up?
It seems to be a little particular about the order of events...here's what I've found gives the most success:
Have a Kleenex handy.
With the car off, turn the key to "acc" or "on."
Plug in and connect to the ECU.
Start the car.
Request codes.
Use the Kleenex for the tears of joy that well up in your eyes as data starts flowing into the parameters. It's a feeling not unlike the one at the end of Twister, when the team finally gets Dorothy 3 to work right.
Of course, I'm still a newbie to the software. I've done maybe all of three or four logs since getting the patch cable. It's still quite fun, though...learning a LOT! smile.gif

They are in the Scan All or whatever option.
They are also available for display on the virtual dashboard. Double click on a gauge, and it gives you the window for selecting what is displayed in which slot. EVERYTHING monitored is listed and available for show....TPS, MAF, IAT, Load, Spark Advance, etc etc etc...
